1:39 pm - Custom Britney Homepage

I'm running this new site called http://www.awesomestart.com Bascially it's a customizable homepage. It's got a google search, your favorite news links, a link to your email, and all that kind of stuff.

If you click the image above, you can see the start page directly. Otherwise, you can go to the preferences page to customize all the links and stuff on the page. The idea for these pages is you can customize one and make it your homepage. That way you'll have all the links you need everytime you open up your browser. And the page will look cool because it has Britney (or another artist) on it.

I did one for Christina too:

Let me know what you guys think! There's more coming every day. I have maybe 50 other musicians and artists on there right now. I'm going to start doing movies and videogames soon too. Oh, and please help me spread the word! If people could repost this in different places and tell your friends and stuff, that would be really cool.

Thanks for your support you guys. You rock.

orangefingertip Happy tears and talk of babies: Britney Spears and Kevin Federline open up about their surprise nuptials

Some 40 hours after their top secret Sept. 18 ceremony in Studio City, Calif., newlyweds Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are acting like, well, blissed-out newlyweds: Gazing into each other's eyes. Locking bare toes. Exchanging "Oh babys" and "I love yous." So it's safe to say they're feeling pretty good? "Awesome. Elated," says Spears, lounging with her new husband near the hot tub in the presidential suite of the Hotel Bel-Air. Tying the knot "couldn't have been better," says Federline. Adds Spears: "I'm just kind of happy that we pulled off the whole thing."

This was not the way it was supposed to happen – as anyone who received one of 100 invitations to the couple's Oct. 16 wedding can vouch. But three weeks ago, amid growing paparazzi attention and mounting stress, Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, scrapped their original plans for a lavish to-do at Santa Barbara's Bacara resort in favor of a ceremony for just 27 friends and relatives – all of whom were kept in the dark until minutes before the ceremony. (Moving up the date prevented the couple from filing their marriage license prior to the wedding.) "I just thought it would be too much if we had done it when we were supposed to," says Spears. "It became this huge thing and I was like, 'What are we waiting for? We know this is the real thing, why not just do it now?' That's why I wanted to sneak and do it our little way."

They did it their way, indeed – complete with a rose-scented ceremony, during which both the bride and groom cried, followed by a night of clubbing. The entire event "was all about them, which is exactly the way it should have been," says Spears's longtime assistant Felicia Culotta, who helped plan the wedding and served as a bridesmaid. "It was about Britney and Kevin and that's it." Adds Spears: "It was perfect."

It was also a 10-hanky affair, with the groom proving especially emotional throughout the evening. At the reception, "we were dancing and I remember her dad sitting in the doorway," says Federline, tearing up at the memory. "The way he was looking at me, he was just letting me know that everything was okay. I was worried, because you want your wife's father to be okay with you. But when I saw him, it was great."

So ecstatic are the pair that they are already discussing starting a family. "I want to be a young mom," says Spears. Asked whether she is pregnant now, she pauses for a long moment and looks intently into Federline's eyes. "No, not that I know of." But "I can see us as parents," she adds. "I can see myself as a mom. Next year at 23, I am so there."

In the meantime, the couple are content to relive the memories of their wedding weekend, which kicked off Friday night with a bachelorette bash at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. (Federline and the fellas opted for dinner at nearby Houston's restaurant.) The next day, the guys hit the links while Spears and her group dodged paparazzi during a trip to the Burke Williams spa. On the ride from the spa to the wedding locale – a private home in Studio City – Spears got a call from her soon-to-be-husband. "She said, 'I'm not supposed to talk to him before the wedding!' And we said, 'No, you're not supposed to see him,' " recalls Culotta. "She just died laughing. She said, 'I didn't want to jinx it!' Then they had one last conversation, and she was saying, 'No, don't cry; if you cry, I'm going to cry.' "

With even Spears's mom, Lynne, and the bridal party kept out of the loop, the impending wedding tested the bride's ability to stay mum – a challenge, considering she struggles just to keep her family's Christmas presents a surprise every year. When the word was finally out, "That was one of the first things she said to me: 'Mama, I kept a secret!' " recalls Lynne.

In fact, friends and relatives had flown in for what they were told was an engagement party. Upon arriving at the private home, they were handed invites that read "Surprise! It is with much love that we welcome you to our wedding ceremony tonight." The message didn't quite sink in with Spears's dad, Jamie. "My dad said, 'Why is everyone congratulating Kevin?' " recalls Spears's brother Bryan. "I said, 'Daddy, did you read the invitation?' He said yup. I said, 'You might want to read it again.' " Adds Lynne: "He went into shock. 'Oh my God,' he said,'I don't have my tuxedo!' "

No problem: The couple had arranged for everyone's tuxes and gowns – which had been fitted earlier in anticipation of the October wedding – to be secretly delivered to the house. Upstairs the bridal party were readying themselves when Lynne walked in. "Britney was just smiling, waiting for my reaction," says Lynne. She said, 'Well, Mama, is it okay?' And I said, 'Of course, this is probably the smartest thing ever.' "

The couple's friends were stunned as well. "Their hands were shaking and they were crying," Spears says of her girlfriends. Recalls Federline: "[My friends] had no idea. Even the guy that was taking pictures said, 'You just got Punk'd!' And they still didn't get it! Finally I had to spell it out for them. When they did get it, they just lost it."

As for the newly brunette bride – she returned to her natural brown locks two days prior to the wedding because "there are so many blondes out there right now, I wanted to be a little different" – some of her behavior that day might have been a tip-off. "Britney was acting really weird Saturday – she was really nervous," recalls maid of honor Laura Lynne Covington. "I was like, 'Why are you so fidgety today?' And she was like, 'I don't know, I don't know.' " Just before the ceremony, "She was like, 'Are people supposed to cry on their wedding day? Even when they're saying their vows? Is it okay if I cry?' " says Covington. "When she put the veil on, it just all came together. She turned the corner and everyone just said, 'Awww.' " Says Lynne: "She looked so absolutely beautiful. She looked like an angel."

Unlike Spears's quickie Vegas wedding to childhood pal Jason Alexander in January – the marriage was annulled after 55 hours – the bride made sure her family and close friends were in attendance. Still, not everything went exactly as planned: Spears's sister Jamie Lynn, 13, burst into tears thinking that she had been the only one kept in the dark. But "when I hugged her and she put her dress on, she started feeling really good," says Spears. And Federline's 2-year-old daughter Kori (with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson, 28, with whom he also has a 3-month-old son, Kaleb) was slated to serve as flower girl but ended up missing the wedding altogether. "[Shar, Kori and Kaleb] were doing the whole Disneyland thing, and I couldn't say, 'Look, [the kids] need to be here because I am getting married,'" says Federline. "So I just left things as they were."

During the emotional 15-minute ceremony, Britney and Kevin "just gazed into each other's eyes, and he kept touching her face," says Culotta. "As she was standing there, tears were falling. When her daddy lifted up her veil and kissed her on the cheek and shook hands with Kevin, it was so sweet. That started all the tears." Adds Lynne: "At the point when the ceremony said that your spouse is the one that makes you a better person, I just cried because I think it sort of hit me that she is a woman now. It hurts when they grow up."

Among the other ceremony highlights: When Covington handed the groom's platinum wedding band to Spears, "She dropped it and I was like, 'Oh no!' " recalls Covington. "The preacher was like, 'It's okay. It's a good sign!' " At one point during Federline's vows, "he said, 'I'm so proud to be your husband,' and everyone just smiled," says Covington. And when the couple shared their first married kiss, "I just wanted to holler, 'Get a room!' " jokes Culotta. "It was such a big kiss. It was like that was the second they were waiting for."

With the wedding behind them, Spears and Federline – who are keeping their honeymoon plans under wraps – are now looking ahead to what's next, beginning with a late fall bash for friends who missed the actual nuptials ("We filmed the wedding so they can resee it at the party," says Spears). "It is great that this [wedding] has happened, because it has made me realize that I am growing up, becoming a woman, and things just need to be different," Spears says. "I feel like it's a beginning." With that in mind, the bride is also pondering a name change: "Britney Federline," she says, "I like that."

Days after Spears and Federline were pronounced husband and wife, a report surfaced that they aren't legally wed because they hadn't filed a marriage license. According to Spears and Federline, they have gone by the California book: Prior to getting married, they secured a license, which they have 90 days to file. But, says Federline, "we'll file our license next week." His explanation? "Everybody knows our wedding date was set on Oct. 16," he says. "But then

Wow, we got some members! Awesome. I just started a new community, called ratethehotties (in case you didn't see the banner yet ;)). You should join! It's going to have a lot of Britney stuff on it, since she's my favorite hottie ever! The link to the site is: Here

Here's Lynne's corner!

Dear Fans,

I am so sorry it's been so long since my last update. Now I don't even know where to start with filling you all in.

I'm sure you know Britney has had surgery on her knee and unfortunately, had to cancel the summer leg of the tour. She feels so bad that so many of you were disappointed by this. She is thankful for all of your cards, prayers and get well wishes while she works on getting her knee well.

Britney and Kevin just came back from celebrating 4th of July in Hawaii. It was her last chance at a vacation before the drudgery of physical therapy begins. They had a fun, lazy and wonderful time in the sun. And yes, I was left holding the new, not potty trained puppy. We have 2 new pups. Jamie Lynn has a yorkie named Allie Boo (red) and Brit's pup is Lacy Loo (white). They are so smart and cute.

Although the main focus of the summer is to mend her knee, you'll still see Britney around here and there. Did you know she's nominated for 6 Teen Choice Awards? If you haven't already voted, please do so NOW on www.nickelodeon.com!

Oh, Britney's new Elizabeth Arden fragrance line that is coming out in September is fabulous. You'll not only love the scent, but the bottles and packaging is precious.

Speaking of her "Curious" line, I saw the bottles for the 1st time here in Boston today. We did the unveiling of the Britney Spears Foundation Room at the Onyx Hotel. It took us a couple of months of shopping all over the place, but it is indeed finished. We are all very excited about it. I really enjoyed having lunch today at the hotel with Kim and Jen, the 2 fourteen year old radio contest winners. They are the first ones to stay overnight in the Britney room. It was so much fun for me to watch their expressions while looking at the room. Jen- I'm telling you like I've told Britney- take care of that leg! And Kim, I hope you blew 'em away at your swim meet! And by the way, Britney loved her note and said it was so sweet of you. Ten percent of the room rate is donated to the Britney Spears Foundation. So fans, keep booking that room!

Britney's also looking forward to visiting her summer camp again this summer. We can't believe it's already in its 5th year!

Brit and I are so busy making wedding plans. Her dress is the most beautiful dress ever. Sorry I can't give you any details, but I promise major information and photo's will be given to the fan club site after the fact!

So far it's been a great summer. Most of it has been spent in California. JamieLynn has been keeping busy working on episodes of her new show, Zoey, which will premier on Nickelodeon in January. Leigha, a girlfriend from home, has been staying with her this summer. It's been fun, yet hectic time. We still get a little homesick. Selfishly, it's been wonderful to have Bryan, Britney and JamieLynn all in the same city with me. We've been having Sunday night dinners all together as a family once again.

I wish all of you fans a great, safe and happy rest of the summer. On behalf of all of us- I want to thank you again for your continued love and support. Britney appreciates each of you more than you know!

** My next update will be coming soon- I promise you, no more long waits in between!!

9:15 pm - Do it for BRITNEY
chameleonsarah This is AWESOME. I love Brit but I am not sure about this Kevin thing and when I heard about this event I thought it was a cool idea - we need to spread the word.

July 15, 2004

Ottawa, Canada
We all laugh but it is a serious matter: The personal and emotional demise of our pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS. From innocent school girl to world icon to…we don’t know - What has happened to our beloved Britney?

That is why the HOT 89-9 FM Morning Hot Tub has decided it is time to take the matter into their hands by implementing a ‘BRITNEY INTERVENTION’

TIME: 12pm – NOON

We want to encourage all of Britney Spears fans to show up with their best wishes so we can record a message and send it to her. We're concerned about the bad choices she's been making: the drinking, the partying, and the awful taste she has in men. This is clearly a cry for help! We think it's time to let Britney know that she needs to be strong and she can overcome all of this adversity. We're here for you Britney! We’re here for all people looking for a voice in the face of adversity.

orangefingertip Brave New Girl was on last night. If you didn't see it, it will be re running constantly on ABC Family, so don't worry. Here's a review they posted on Britneyspears.org . I didn't think it was bad at all.. it was an average TV movie. I just watched because it was loosely based on Britney's life.

Houston Chronicle reports Brave New Girl is either payback or an investment. There's no way any self-respecting network, even one as low in the pecking order as ABC Family Channel, would commission such a trite film without ulterior motives. Brave New Girl merited special treatment because it is based on a book supposedly written by Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne.

Other candidates for the Nobel in literature can rest easy. But Britney, a published author? The mind reels.

Little Golden Books have more complex plots than Brave New Girl. A small-town teen with a big voice aspires to be an entertainer. Her lifelong dream is to hone her talents at a prestigious musical school. She's finally accepted under fairy-tale circumstances, only to be shunned by snooty students as well as professors appalled at her lack of formal music training. In the end, she shows them all.

Holly Lovell, a fresh-faced blond teen who seems to have been crafted to look like a Britney in training, dreams big, but her only credit is Dairy Princess in her hometown. Her mother, Wanda, a single parent, is living vicariously through her daughter. Wanda had unrealized show-business dreams of her own -- she yearned to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Alas, the best she can offer Holly is moral support. A call from a telemarketer is a relief; usually she only hears from collection agencies. The bank is looking to take back their house, too.

Fortunately, Holly has an option. Her boyfriend just came into his uncle's trailer and wants her to move in with him. If she wants to get married, he says, that would be OK, too. This breathtaking proposal comes simultaneously with the improbable scholarship to the elite musical academy, where Wanda and Holly are mocked as the Beverly Hillbillies.

Lindsey Haun, whose credits are limited to some Grade B-minus TV movies, has the biggest role as Holly but Virginia Madsen has the biggest name -- the only name, actually -- in the cast as Wanda. Haun's slim résumé isn't going to be enhanced by her nondescript performance, and Madsen, who connects the dots without expending much energy, isn't going to reignite a career in retroburn.

Predicting where each plot thread is headed and how it will be resolved is easier than acing the TV Guide crossword puzzle. It's about as satisfying, too.

There's undoubtedly something in this for ABC; keep this in mind if and when a Britney musical special shows up. There's nothing for any discerning viewer.

6:48 pm - Hey NEWS
orangefingertip Britney Spears is getting into that "Leaving Las Vegas" frame of mind.

The singer is going to stage her suicide in her new video for "Everytime," as a way to respond to rumors and reports that she's teetering on the brink, seeking help, in therapy or otherwise disturbed. Call the clip Britney's funhouse mirror — it'll reflect her life, but distort it, too.

Spears' follow-up to "Toxic" — her first #1 single since 2000's "Oops! ... I Did it Again" — will be shot in Los Angeles but set in Sin City, home of her quickie marriage. Though "Everytime" is a plea for forgiveness for inadvertently hurting a former lover, that aspect isn't addressed as much as the song's tone of regret and loss.

Directed by David LaChapelle, the video will use "saturated, but low and naturalistic lighting" to give a cinematic feel, taking a cue from the 1995 Nicolas Cage film "Leaving Las Vegas." According to the clip's treatment, Spears arrives at the supposedly secret but paparazzi-swarmed back alley of an exclusive hotel, boyfriend in tow. Though it's common for the singer to be mobbed by the press, this time, people go to extremes, exaggerating the chaos as her bodyguards try to protect her and fights break out.

The camera cuts back and forth from the action to find Spears in an extreme close-up, performing directly to the camera as the story unfolds around her. She and her date are shuttled into the hotel, having been roughed up a bit, and exchange a look expressing that what was supposed to be a vacation is no fun for either of them. They end up in the high-rollers suite, but it doesn't help calm them down. Spears tries to put her angry boyfriend at ease, pouring two glasses of wine from the gift basket, but he lashes out, smashing the bottle at her feet.

Spears then gets quiet and walks away, heading to the bathroom, where the camera angles start to add a bit of mystery. A hand lays down a glass of red wine, water trickles around the cracks of tile, the bathtub overflows, and on the ledge stands a bottle of pills, the cap removed. Spears' head slips under water, and only then does her boyfriend, who had been watching television, start to notice. As he tries to revive her, the camera tracks a new Britney, alive and unharmed, walking past him, out of the room and out of the hotel. The paparazzi, still swarming at the back entrance, don't seem to register this Britney, and she disappears into the night.

Ambiguity is all that remains — is Britney alive? Dead? A ghost? Did she kill herself off before the tabloids could? Did she kill herself so that she could be reborn? The final shot — which shouldn't be revealed here so as not to spoil the surprise — doesn't answer any of these questions, but should give fans plenty to talk about.

Meanwhile, Spears will continue her Onyx Hotel Tour, which launched last week with a second leg, starting in June. She'll squeeze in her "Everytime" video shoot between the March 12 Seattle date and the March 15 Denver date.
